Have a vintage table cloth or sheet that you’ve been dying to turn into something? Turn it into a unique camp shirt that can be worn all year round. This project is focused on upcycling and sustainability so we encourage you to bring a textile to upcycle. A few examples of textiles might include a bedsheet, curtains, a table cloth, towel, etc. If you have any questions about whether your fabric will work, reach out to the instructor prior to class.
Fabric should be big enough to make a garment,, but depending on body size this can vary. Typically, no smaller than 65” x 65” (you can always combine more than one fabric!)
Supplies needed for this course
Textile of your choice (table cloth, sheet, curtain, towel, linens)*make sure textile is a woven not a knit, therefore it should not stretch.
Buttons or snaps (typically ¾” but can be altered with preference)
Lightweight interfacing (1.5 yards)
