Couture Dresses, Coats and Jackets we have made. What about the skirt?

Yes, we did that in the spring of 2023 and will do it again!

As summer of 2026 approaches, think about adding this versatile skirt to your wardrobe - dress it up, dress it down.

Perhaps you would like to make a classic Chanel - like skirt. As we know, in couture fashion, we would start that skirt with a well-fitting muslin.

Perhaps you have some suitable fabric from a classic custom French Jacket class, or other jacket / coat you’ve made that could use a coordinating skirt. Or, maybe you want to check this process out for the next MASCustom / Classic French Jacket - combine these classes in order to own a one of a kind well fitting couture ensemble.

We will begin this quick 4 week class with fitting a muslin.

The following weeks will teach you couture skirt techniques, and we will end the class with versatile couture skirts, just in time for summer.

As with all of our classes that she teaches, we will use Jane’s instructional videos.

Recommended Patterns: Butterick 6746, Vogue 1004, or Susan Khalje’s Straight Skirt Pattern
